March 13, 2004 - Work is progressing on the Mid-Lothian Mines Park. For the first phase of development, the County of Chesterfield Parks & Recreation Department has obtained a $75,000 grant from the Virginia Department of Transportation to construct a right turn lane off North Woolridge Road and entrance drive into the park. Additionally, the county has initially allocated $70,000 in funds to improve the trails, make repairs to the fences, install interpretive signage and construct a portion of a 68-space parking lot.
